About

1. 2013 –

A lot has happened since 2012.  I last blogged for MakerBot in March of 2013, no longer do print on demand, have taken down my ProfileMaker page, and have been using this website as my general purposes 3D printing and “making” website.  These days I do the vast majority of my printing on my Monoprice Mini Delta aka Roberto.

2. 2010 – 2012

After blogging here for about nine months MakerBot hired me to blog for them.  You’ll find much more of my 3D printing, MakerBot, and Thingiverse posts up at the MakerBot blog.  Here you’ll still find these things, but perhaps with a little bit higher noise-to-signal ratio.  :)

There’s a fair bit in the blog about drawing robots and my own adventures in building one.  I’ve also got another website specifically devoted to helping people build their own drawing robots.

3. 2009 – 2010

This website is about “Bender,” MakerBot Industries CupCake CNC 3D printer #465, and “FlexoMakerBot Industries Thing-O-Matic, ((Prototype #6?)) and HedonismBot MakerBot Industries Replicator 1, Dual Extruder. Poke around and you will find information about MakerBot products, troubleshooting, tuning, fixes, lessons I learned the hard way, and lots of stuff about my latest designs and prints.  You’ll also find some really random stuff, but hey, you take the chaff with the wheat, right?

Why did I name the website MakerBlock?  I’d like to design and print custom blocks that are compatible with various toy construction sets.

Frivolous?  Undoubtedly.  But, a man’s got to dream.
