It’s always the funky ones…

Funky glasses

Funky glasses

I bought several1 pairs of glasses online recently.  They’re so cheap2 that when I order them online I make a point of getting one pair that looks like the pair I’m currently wearing, one pair that is kinda funky, and two or three pairs of glasses that are somewhere between what I’m wearing at the time and funky.

The funniest part is that I invariably3 enjoy wearing the funky pair the most.  Out of a $40 order, I’m overjoyed if I get one pair that I really like.  In any case, the above is the funky pair with the other four being considerably more conservative.  I’ve only been wearing this funky pair for a few hours now, but I’m pretty sure they’ll be my favorite.

  1. Where do you order from? I’ve gotten cheap glasses from zennioptical.com and been quite happy with them.

  2. Damn, I wish my prescription was conducive to doing that. But I’m blind as a bat, in elementary school my friends used to joke that you could see through time with my glasses. They’ve only gotten worse in the last 20 – 25 years…

  3. I’ve also used Zenni, and would like to know which site you used.

Getting half a dozen pairs online for less than one pair from the local place is definitely the way to go. I also ended up wearing the pair that I just bought for fun, and it’s about time to get my prescription updated so I can get some more.

@ Aaron, you should be able to get any prescription from these places, though exceptionally thick lenses do cost a couple of bucks extra.
