  1. Wasn’t 23 in the season premier? It sounds like a reference to the Silence.

I might be a little confused though, because I just finished watching season 5. I stopped watching after season 1, then decided to check out the new season when I heard that Mark Sheppard would be in it ( the guy who played Badger in Firefly, my favorite actor). After that, I watched the rest of the season 6 episodes to date, then went back for season 5 because I like Amy pond and Matt Smith as the Doctor much more than I liked Christopher Eccleston and Rose. I normally don’t like watching shows out of order, but for Doctor Who, it actually seems appropriate.

  2. I guess “The bones of the TARDIS.” could refer to the TARDIS graveyard on this strange place outside of our universe.
And “Pay attention – It’s not really her.” could refer to the latest episode with all those “Gaengers”.
And “How could a fellow Gallifreyan stoop so low?” wasn’t this on the episode with the graveyard as well?

  3. @Whosawhatsis: Oh, man, you’ve missed out! Doc 9 and Rose were good, but David Tennant’s Doc 10 was “brilliant.” There’s some good stuff in there and, if nothing else, you’ll definitely want to have watched Season 4.

  4. @Mostley: I have a feeling “Pay attention – It’s not really her” is going to be something far more insidious than something in the Gaenger episode, but you could very well be right. As for “bones of the TARDIS” and “How could a fellow Gallifreyan stoop so low” I’ll definitely need to rewatch The Doctor’s Wife. :)

  5. ..As with the series of Doctor Who last year the final two episodes before the finale have been much more small scale and in some ways a little different. Last week we had a largely Doctor-less story Love and Monsters and this week we got Fear Her a which is set largely in one single.

  6. @Whosawhatsis: First, do you mind me calling you WSWS? Second, I think some of Tennant’s best moments were in seasons 2 and 3. I’ll tell you this, though – there’s a two-parter in season 4 that makes the entire season. :)

  7. @Aaron: Hmm. Do you think those were spoilers? I didn’t find anything particularly spoil-y about them. Most are probably meaningless without having watched the episodes they are from.
