Here’s one better: Five people each buy one color (red, blue, yellow, green, black) and each prints several five lions in their color. Then we all send off four lions to the others.

I like that idea! Right now I use a library card catalog (emptied out of cards, of course) to keep various small MakerBot, computer, and totally random parts. Printing up some tags for the drawers would be really helpful.

Could make some nice safety signs, no-entry and the like. Colour coded custom containers would also be good to store things like lathe tools or tungstens for TIG welding.

Yeah, I’m loving the Time Lord option.
Since printing a TARDIS I’ve nearly eliminated Z axis wobble. So, I’m really looking forward to re-printing it in blue.
As for welding colored rods together to make a wild multi-colored object… Tie die prints!

Well... there was a really good article on the Thingiverse blog about printable plastics and food safety. I'd be especially careful about any printed item for children.

One of the suggestions I saw was a TARDIS from Doctor Who for the blue. I’m a bit interested in cutting lengths of the ABS, welding them together, and ending up with an awkwardly multicolored object.
